Cheap Whiteboards

Cheap whiteboards are some of the many ways to write down information for brainstorming, other methods include using a blackboard, pen and paper, or even verbally. Although these methods are great in their own way, a whiteboard has many benefits over these other methods that make more worthwhile. For example, a whiteboard can be used as a whiteboard calendar to mark off important dates and the aesthetic look of a whiteboard gives a more professional feel. Anyways, some of the issues that the alternate writing methods have include:

  • Blackboards: Chalk is not a widely used writing utensil for a reason, it smudges and dirties clothing. When one writes with chalk it will leave a residue that can be noticed when noticing chalk particles leaving the chalk as the individual writes. It will usually cloud the air that the writer is around and most likely will cover them without them noticing. Also the one thing that the blackboard is infamous for is the irritating screech that it emits when a sharp object is pressed against it.

  • Pen and paper: This method is a great way to write ideas but the major flaw that it has is that it can easily be lost and the amount of writing surface area is quite low. When one has a single idea that they find valuable then the pen and paper method is appropriate but when large idea generation sessions are had the a writing method using a larger surface is in order.

  • Verbally: It goes without saying that one must have an excellent memory to use this idea generation method or it must be used in conjunction with another writing method. When we communicate verbally it is an amazing tool to get some very interesting ideas out in the open but to write down this method is its main issue.

Whiteboards are the answer, in fact cheap whiteboards can be easily found. These whiteboards are excellent because for one, they have brightly colored markers that you can use on them. This is opposed to the light tone chalk colors that blackboards use. When you have these bright colours it will make the ideas ‘pop’ out.

The most important thing about these cheap whiteboards are that when you are done with an idea one can erase the board with next to no residue. I’m sure when recollecting memories of grade school, one can remember that the chalk board would always be smudged after the eraser was used, in fact the board needed to be washed to be used again! Also in terms of the pen and paper method, there’s no going back when using pen. Even a pencil and eraser will leave marks or wear out the paper, making it thin. The future is whiteboards.
